
With new music coming from John Talabot, Tuff City Kids, DJ Tennis, Moscoman, Rampa, Lee Burridge, Dennis Ferrer, Francesco Chiocci, LOR, Innervisions, Permanent Vacation, Cocktail D’Amour, Muting The Noise, ESP Institute, Omnidisc and Atomnation, September had a lot of good music to offer. Here is our recap on the best releases in September.
01. Tuff City Kids ft. Annie – Labyrinth (Club Mix) [Permanent Vacation]
The unstoppable tag team Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer aka Tuff City Kids team up with Norwegian wonder woman Annie, whom couldn’t be better suited for the job on the microphone. The result is a timeless disco mutant for all centuries. With reworks coming from the guys self, Morgan Geist and DJ Oyster, the EP is a great precursor for Tuff City Kids upcoming album on Permanent Vacation. Grab your copy here.
02. Sfire – Sfire 3 (John Talabot’s Tribalist Rework) [Cocktail D’Amour x Muting The Noise]
Cocktail d’Amore and Muting The Noise join hands to release John Talabot‘s long-awaited Tribalist rework of the modern classic Sfire3. Next to Talabot’s Tribalist rework, the EP features his Warehouse Dub and Bubble Metropolis rework. Giving Sfire’s original cut three beautiful interpretations. Grab your copy here.
03. Francesco Chiocci – Nightmares (Original Mix) [Innervisions]
Innervisions returns with their new installment of the Secret Weapons series. Running for over a decade, the series mainly gives place to unreleased material played by label heads Dixon and Âme. Counting 13 tracks in total, this eighth installment features 10 original cuts and 3 remixes, including this mesmerizing track by Italian producer, Francesco Chiocci. Grab your copy here.
04. Moscoman – A Shot In The Light (Original Mix) [ESP Institute]
Berlin-based artist Moscoman released his long-awaited debut album “A Shot In The Light”, via ESP Institute, this month. On the double vinyl package you’ll find eight tracks, carrying the unique sound from Moscoman. Grab your copy here.
05. Rampa – Necessity (Original Mix) [Innervisions]
“Let me talk to you”. Innervisions returns with their new installment of the Secret Weapons series. 06. Prins Thomas – A1 (Gerd Janson Prinspersonation Mix) [Smalltown Supersound]
Earlier this year nu-disco wizzard, Prins Thomas, enriched our lives with his “Principe Del Norte” LP. Now, a couple of months later, the album sees a new light with a 15-track remix package on Smalltown Supersound, including remixes by Ricardo Villabos, The Orb and Young Marco among others. The full package will be available mid October, but this exceptional remix by Gerd Janson is out for the world to enjoy. Grab your copy here.
07. DJ Tennis – Convex (Original Mix) [Omnidisc]
Life and Death founder and A&R, DJ Tennis, supplies the second release for OMNIDISC‘s Polyester Series. Entitled “Convex”, the Electro/Disco influenced EP features four tracks including two collaboration tracks with Margot and Sebra Cruz. Grab your copy here.
08. Sau Poler – Esperits (LOR Remix) [Atomnation]
After the release of his magical “Versions 1” EP, on Hivern Discs’ sublabel NVH Records, up-and-coming Belfast producer LOR is back to do some more damage via Dutch label, Atomnation. This time he worked his magic on Sau Polar’s track “Esperits”, and turned it into a deep groover which slowly builds throughout the length of the track. 09. Dennis Ferrer – Maniac 3000 (Original Mix) [Objektivity]
Dennis Ferrer shares a track of his upcoming album “Paranoia Aftermath” on Defected, which is expected in the first months of 2017. High energy synth lines, groovy techno drums and distorted vocal chords, all the ingredients of Dennis Ferrer’s peak-time anthem on Objektivity. Grab your copy here.
10. Lee Burridge ft. Junior & Lost Desert – Lingala (Original Mix) [All Day I Dream]
Label head Lee Burridge teams up with Lost Desert and vocal artist Junior for All Day I Dream’s newest release. Clocking in at around ten minutes, the enchanting original shines with some succulent strings and spiralling synths that embrace Junior’s stunning vocals.
