August had a lot to offer with new music coming from Agoria, Roman Flügel, Michael Mayer, Bicep, Redshape, &ME, Benjamin Fröhlich, Davis, Paul Twin, Running Back, Hivern Discs, Permanent Vacation, International Feel and Nous’Klaer Audio. Here is our recap on the top 10 releases in August.

1. Redshape  Tel Aviv (Original Mix) [Running Back]

The first installment in Redshape‘s new “Best Of Live” series. Containing tracks which were only part of his live set, Redshape rebuilt them part-by-part to make them proper DJ versions without losing their live roots. The first package of the series features two tracks inspired by live shows in Tel Aviv and Rome and was released on Gerd Janson’s Running Back imprint. Grab your copy here.

2. Michael Mayer & Agoria  Blackbird Has Spoken (Original Mix) [!K7 Records]

Kompakt co-owner, Michael Mayer has teamed-up with French maestro Agoria for a five minute collaboration track. The result of the two heavyweights is “Blackbird Has Spoken”, a cosmic trip destined to get you flying on cloud 9. Released via !K7 Records August 5, 2016. Grab your copy here.

3. &ME ft. Fink – One On One (Original Mix) [Keinemusik]

Continuing on a high note, Keinemusik‘s &ME is bringing the heat once again with his collaborative effort together with English singer/songwriter Fink. The title track on A comes creeping over the floor like an ash cloud. Built up on a grainy beat-pattern, having all lightness dashed out by droning bass, before Finks vocals are exorcising the ghosts of a heavy comedown. Grab your copy here.

4. Benedikt Frey  Out Of Here (Roman Flügel’s Cosmic Disco Drama Rework) [Hivern Discs]

Originally a vinyl-only limited release, Benedikt Frey‘s “Out Of Here” now gets a fresh new treatment by two mainstays of European techno: Roman Flügel and Simon Haydo. Flügel’s Cosmic Disco Drama Rework lives up to its name, maintaining the noir disco spirit of the original track but infusing it with tension-building sequences and strings that give it an extra mischievous twist. Released via Hivern Discs August 26, 2016. Grab your copy here.

5. Benjamin Fröhlich  Holloway (Original Mix) [Permanent Vacation]

After a couple of well received remixes, here comes the first full grown EP by Benjamin Fröhlich, who is also known for being one half of the Permanent Vacation enterprise. The range spans from synth-driven electro to hypnotic beat tools, industrial acid jams and 90s UK-influenced – melodic breakbeat. Four tracks that are universally applicable in the world of dance music. Grab your copy here.

6. Blaze  Lovelee Dae (Bicep Remix) [Feel My Bicep]

Bicep‘s version of the ’97 deep house classic “Lovelee Dae”. The duo’s take on the track was originally designed for their 2014 Essential Mix, the label says, though it ended up getting cut due to lack of space. Now they’re pressing it to vinyl with a dub mix on the flip. The two-track EP is the first record on Feel My Bicep for 2016. Grab your copy here.

7. Paul Twin – Icaro (Original Mix) [Nous’Klaer Audio]

Paul Twin returns to Nous’klaer for his second EP after making his debut in January with The White Island” EP. The trippy A-side gained somewhat of a legendary status on the White Island he comes from, while the B-side “Icaro” is a newer slightly more cosmic trip. The two shaman infused tracks will be available on limited orange, and black vinyl. Comes with silkscreened sleeve. Grab your copy here.

8. Davis – Ewer (Original Mix) [In Their Feelings]

After his remix debut on the In Their Feeling platform last year, Davis is back with a beautiful package. Titled “Ewer”, the Brazilian’s four-tracker offers a mix of tropical meets electronic analog rides. Grab your copy here.

9. Black Spuma  Onda (Original Mix) [International Feel]

Black Spuma aka Fabrizio Mammarella (Telespazio) & Phillip Lauer (Tuff City Kids / Lauer). Infamous for releases on Running Back, Beats In Space and Permanent Vacation, they return to International Feel with a four track EP following their critically acclaimed release last year.
