Something Happening Somewhere returns with the second installment in its NOWHERE series. The extensive various artists compilation features music by the likes of Ian Pooley, Mark Du Mosch, Stijn Sadée, Joannes, Tjade, Dave Ellesmere, Luna Ludmila and more.
For everyone who came across our recent feature with Nuno Dos Santos this compilation comes as no surprise. Something Happening Somewhere serves up the second outing in the NOWHERE series. Keeping it close to home this time around, the 12-track compilation foremost features music by Dutch producers – exception to the rule being Ian Pooley and Dave Ellesmere –showcasing the vast versatility the Dutch electronic music scene has to offer.
Our pick of the bunch comes courtesy of Tjade. We can’t say otherwise than that this guy is killing it at the moment. His Italo edit of Bollywood classic ‘Koi Jaye’ has probably caused more unified dance floor irruption than any other track last summer – being played by the likes of Palms Trax, Job Jobse and Hunee, to name a few. With his latest, similar flavoured edit for Dar Discu gathering the same reactions, the time has come for his first original work and delivers big time.
