Ahead of releasing Mount Kismet’s much-anticipated debut album ‘Warmer Lanes’, Disco Halal keeps us on our toes with the remixes for debut single ‘Teenage Fantasy’. Two intoxicating dance floor workouts from Whitesquare and Kino Todo, featuring fantastic vocals by C.A.R.
The venturous world of Disco Halal keeps spinning in fast rotation, as the record label sets out to release Mount Kismet‘s debut long player. Based between Berlin and London, the project is driven by Middle Eastern sound aesthetics, a taste for heavy pulsating drum machines and the rumbling of analog synthesizers. Following their 2018 contribution to one of Disco Halal’s V.A. compilations, the 10-track album will be the second outing for the mysterious trio.
With the debut single ‘Teenage Fantasy’ landing on the label earlier this month, Disco Halal shares a set of high potency remixes by Whitesquare and Kino Todo. Strung together by the dark, alluring vocals of French-Canadian artist C.A.R., recent Life And Death signee Whitesquare embraces the track’s alluring synth-driven, cold wave aesthetics and Middle Eastern elements before steering it into dance-floor-ready realms.
