Kim Ann Foxman delivers breezy house stylings with touches of cosmic suspension, as her new EP lands on Self:Timer, including remixes by Marc Piñol and Hugo Capablanca’s infamous C.P.I project and extraterrestrial doomsday cult Pleasure Planet.

New York-based virtuoso Kim Ann Foxman returns to her Firehouse offshoot imprint Self:Timer with a new four tracker. The record follows up last year’s label debut by Pleasure Planet – the collaboration project between Foxman and longstanding friends Andrew Potter and Brian Hersey. Titled ‘My Dog Has Fleas’, the 12″ features her first original work since 2017, after a string of remixes for Dark Entries, Uncanny Valley and Public Release.

Based on a ukulele tuning technique popular in her Hawaiian stomping ground, the EP’s title track – which we’ve the pleasure of streaming here today – is a breezy, 80s-informed jam, carrying heavy coastline vibes. The package comes with remixes by Marc Piñol and Hugo Capablanca’s infamous C.P.I project and Pleasure Planet.
