Hypnotizing percussive arrangements, sharply resonating outcalls and a compelling dose of weirdness. Norwegian Charlotte Bendiks debuts on Uncanny Valley, as the Dresden-based label shares the second installment of their newest various artists series in celebration of their 50th release.

The American-Australian duo The Golden Filter make their debut on Uncanny Valley. And it’s a tailor-made start. “The Pull” is centered around minimalistic drum work, dystopian pads and sparse vocal dots that aim for an inward catharsis. A returnee after eight years is mysterious Mayan Gold from Dresden. His “Komm Und Entspanne”, translated meaning, come and relax, rides on acidic waves and embracing synths, which develop an enormous pull effect on the dance floor.

Norwegian Charlotte Bendiks’ first track on Uncanny Valley, and the track we’ve the pleasure of bringing you today, continues the sound language she developed on Cómeme. “Pasco” is a Percussion-heavy track that sounds just as compelling as it is disturbingly beautiful. Music to lose your mind to. Finally, Austin-based artist Katrina Fairlee teams up with Uncanny Valley-stable Sneaker for the psychedelic drum lesson that is OAK.

Various artists EP Red is scheduled for release April 24th via Uncanny Valley. Grab your copy via Bandcamp.
